About Us

BACKGROUND

The founder of this website grew up in North London, England (NW 10, to be precise). After university, he trained and qualified as an accountant. He subsequently obtained an MBA from the University of Manchester (UK). After gaining considerable experience over 20 years, across a wide range of industries in the UK, he accepted a three (3) year contract, in 2002, to work in Jamaica as a Management Consultant - he is still in Jamaica.

Since 2005, he has been receiving numerous requests from; and has helped; persons in the UK and USA to identify reliable professionals (such as building contractors, surveyors, valuators, attorneys etc) in Jamaica, to enable such persons to carry out certain transactions in a timely and cost efficient manner. The empirical evidence suggests that there are many persons living abroad, who are seeking assistance from reliable sources, to guide them in conducting business in Jamaica.  

On the basis of his experience living in Jamaica, since 2002, he has observed that it can be very frustrating and challenging, for persons living abroad, without reliable local knowledge and proper network, to conduct certain business transactions in a timely manner and at reasonable costs in Jamaica. In this regard, he formed an alliance with three (3) professionals,who lived in the UK for a considerable number of years; to help persons living abroad and undertaking business transactions in Jamaica,to save time and money in doing so. They have developed a network of reliable professionals to assist them to achieve this objective.

We aim to be the premier provider of information, that will enable persons to save time and money, when conducting business transactions in Jamaica.

Our Mission : Why we exist

We exist to serve our Members, by providing useful and timely information on the political, economic, social, legal and cultural aspects of Jamaica, which will assist them in making pertinent decisions and enable them to save time and money.  In order to deliver our mission, we aim to:

1. Serve and help our Members; by providing access to high quality information and reliable professionals, and build and maintain a reputation for absolute trustworthiness.
2. Enable our Members to combine their professional knowledge and skills, through networking, to help each other to create and build competencies and capabilities, and create long-lasting relationships, that will be mutually beneficial.
3. Encourage and support our Members to be innovative and creative in using their skills to establish unique enterprises.
4. Develop relationships with local and international firms to obtain a wide range of benefits for our Members.
5. Promote Jamaican talents, products and services and demonstrate how Jamaica contributes positively to the economic, social and cultural life of the world, through its position as a recognised international "brand".
6. Play a full role in the social,cultural and economic development of Jamaica.

Our Commitment

2. We will respond to all inquiries (telephone messages and e-mails) within 24 hours - except on weekends and public holidays. 
3. We are committed to helping our Members save time and money in conducting business in Jamaica.

Our Community Outreach and Charitable Support

We support and contribute to a number of "nation building" Non-Governmental Organisations. These include; United Way of Jamaica, Agency for Inner-city Renewal and Operation Reach-back Jamaica Foundation (the founder of this website established; and is the Chairperson of Operation Reach-back Jamaica Foundation.
